Bhurungamari (Kurigram) Correspondent

Due to negligence in duty in the Alim examination in Bhurungamari, Kurigram, the center secretary and the tag officer on duty in the examination have been temporarily suspended and a show cause notice has been issued. The name of the suspended center secretary is Maulana Md. Altaf Hossain. He is the principal of Bhurungamari Fazil Madrasa and the center secretary of the Alim examination center. The name of the tag officer is Saifur Rahman. He is the academic supervisor of the Secondary Education Department.

It is reported that yesterday, Wednesday, the first paper of the Chemistry subject of the Science Department of the Alim examination was held. At the examination center, an irregular examinee of Nageshwari Kamil Madrasa, Zakirul Islam, was distributed the question paper of a regular examinee. After taking the exam for about 1 hour, Upazila Executive Officer Amrit Deb Nath came to know about the matter when he visited the examination center. Later, the irregular examination question paper was immediately brought from the neighboring upazila and the examination was conducted with an extended time.

Later, a show cause notice was issued stating why departmental action should not be taken by dismissing the center secretary and tag officer due to negligence in their duties, and Assistant Professor Maulana Md. Mahbubul Alam was given the responsibility of the center secretary.
Center Secretary and Principal Maulana Md. Altaf Hossain said that the question paper of that irregular examinee did not come to our center. The question paper of that examinee came to Nageshwari Kamil Madrasa Examination Center.

Although the examination center was later changed, the questions were not sent from Nageshwari Center. It is to be noted that the examinees of Nageshwari Kamil Madrasa are taking the exam at the Bhurungamari Examination Center and the Bhurungamari examinees at the Nageshwari Examination Center.

UNO Amrit Denath said that the question papers were later collected and the candidates were tested and they were temporarily suspended and given a show-cause notice due to negligence in their duties.
