Child killed in Rangpur: Killer arrested

Police have arrested six people, including the main accused Bitul Mia (25), on the charge of hacking to death a child named Belal Hossain (12) with a Chinese axe in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur. The killer Bitul Mia is the son of Anarul Islam of Rangapukur village in Bhendabari area of Pirganj upazila.
OC of Pirganj Police Station M.A. Faruk confirmed the arrest on Saturday. According to police and local sources, on Friday evening, April 25, Belal Hossain (12), son of Mokhlesar Rahman of Hasar Para village of the upazila, went to a place called Barodah Battala near his house with his two friends to get cow grass. At that time, Bitul Mia started talking to Belal in unnecessary and obscene language there. At one point, an argument broke out between them.
At that time, Bitul hit Belal on the head with the Chinese axe he was carrying. When the locals came forward to hear the screams of Belal's two friends, Bitul fled. Later, Belal was first admitted to the Pirganj Upazila Health Complex in a life-threatening condition. When his condition deteriorated there, Belal died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Pirganj Police Station OC M.A. Faruk received the news and with the help of army personnel, a special force arrested 5 people including Bitul's grandfather, grandmother, and 2 uncles from the scene and brought them to the police station. Later, a raid was conducted and the killer Bitul was arrested from the house of Jahuran Nesa in Rasulpur village of Kumedpur union at around 3 am. It is known that there is another murder case against Bitul Mia. After completing the legal process, he was sent to jail through the court.
