Taskforce raid fined three business establishments in Ctg

A special raid was conducted under the supervision of the district special taskforce in the historic Reazuddin Bazar of Chittagong.
Several businesses violating laws were penalized during the operation on Monday.
Three establishments were fined a total of 35,000 BDT for failing to preserve purchase and sales receipts as required by the Agricultural Marketing Act 2018.
Additionally, one establishment was fined 5,000 BDT under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009 for not displaying the mandatory price list.
The operation was led by Chandgaon Circle Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Mr. Yusuf Hasan, along with Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Mr. Shahid Ishrak from the District Commissioner’s Office. Other members of the district taskforce and student representatives also participated.
Through this operation, the administration aims to ensure the protection of consumer rights and fair pricing in the market. Regular raids have been announced to maintain strict control over product prices and quality.
