Pregnant woman dies in Mymensingh drum truck-CNG collision, 5 injured

A pregnant woman named Sadia Akhter (25) died on the spot in a head-on collision between a drum truck and CNG in Mymensingh. In this incident, Sadia's 5-year-old child, college teacher Arif Billah Rahat, school teachers Fazle Rabbi and Nazrul Islam, CNG driver and 5 others were injured.

Deceased Sadia Akhter is the wife of Mohammad Tamim of Imambari area of Gafargaon Upazila.

The incident took place at Sutiakhali Phulpur area of Gafargaon - Mymensingh road at around 11 am on Monday.

The body of the deceased is in the mortuary of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and the injured were rescued by local people and taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

According to police and local sources, pregnant Sadia Akhtar was on her way to Mymensingh from Gafargaon with CNG when she reached the end of the Gafargaon-Mymensingh road, when the CNG collided head-on with a sand drum truck coming from the opposite direction.
