RAB-11 has arrested 5 active members including 1 woman of organized kidnapping gang in Bandar Upazila of Narayanganj district. The accused were arrested and the kidnapped victim Rahim (18) was rescued from their custody from Anandnagar Baitun Noor Jame Masjid area of Bandar police station on Sunday night.

Rahim is the younger son of Md Mainul Karim of Ziapur village of Chhatak police station of Sunamganj district.

The arrested are Yunus Ali (34), son of Mansoor Ali of Uktirpar village under Shantiganj police station, Sunamganj district, Marzia Begum (25), daughter of deceased Shukur Ali and wife of Khadar Ali of the same village. The others arrested are: Md Hasan, son of Ansu Mia of Sarail village, Anandnagar of Bandar Thana, Md Nazmul (28), son of Anjum Mia of the same village and Md Zahirul Islam (32), son of Md Golazar Hossain of Chapatali area under Bandar Thana.

According to RAB-11, Md. Rahim (18), younger son of Md. Mainul Karim of Ziapur village of Chhatak police station of Sunamganj district, came to Narayanganj in search of work approximately two months ago. Yunus Ali (34) was introduced at the Bandar Upazila of Narayanganj. After meeting, they started working together as daily laborers in agricultural work. When Md. Rahim kept the money deposited for almost two months of work wages, Yunus Ali demanded that money. When Md. Rahim did not want to pay, there was an argument between them.

At one point on the night of October 15, Md. Rahim went to Madanpur bus stand to go to his own house with the money he had saved. At that time, the arrested, including the mastermind of the kidnapping ring, Yunus, who was arrested from Madanpur bus stand area, kidnapped Md. Rahim and took him to Anandnagar area of Bandar police station of Narayanganj district and forcibly took Tk 20,000 cash and mobile phone with him and demanded another Tk 60,000 as ransom.

For the ransom money, Yunus Ali called Rahim's elder brother Naeem and asked him to come to Kanchpur in Narayanganj with the ransom money. 

Arrested persons beat up Md. Rahim for delay in paying the ransom money. Later, on October 20 (Sunday) night, a raiding team of RAB-11, CPSC, Narayanganj identified the location of the victim and the accused from Anandnagar Baitun Noor Jame Masjid area of Bandar Police Station of Narayanganj District and arrested 5 members of the kidnapping gang including Yunus Ali, the mastermind of the kidnapping gang and arrested them. Kidnapped victim Md Rahim (18) was rescued from custody. In this incident, the victim's elder brother Naeem filed a case at the Bandar police station. Case No-27.
