Evacuation operation of illegal gas connection has been conducted in different areas of Siddhirganj of Narayanganj district. The operation was conducted under the leadership of Executive Magistrate Suraiya Yasmin on Monday from 12 noon to 4 pm.

This operation was conducted in various areas including Sumilpara, Ailpara, 6th ward Adamji, Madhuganj and Jalkuri of Siddhirganj in the afternoon. In a separate operation, illegal gas connections were disconnected from about 1,900 residential stoves in 800 houses.

Among them, the gas connection of 1200 residential hearths of 500 houses in an area of about one and a half kilometers of Siddhirganj Ward No. 6 and illegal gas connection of about 700 residential hearths of 300 houses in Jalkuri area were disconnected.

Apart from this, the hotel owner was fined Tk 40,000 for the crime of running the hotel with illegal gas connection along with the seizure of about a thousand feet distribution line from the separate place.

The operation was attended by JOBI Narayanganj Managing Engineer Mostak Masud Md. Imran, JOBI Fatullah Managing Engineer Mashiur Rahman and ABB Narayanganj ECC Branch Manager Engineer Abu Sufian and many other officials and employees.

50 thousand meters current net, magic chai destroyed in Sonargoan

For the smooth implementation of mother hilsa conservation campaign 2024, mobile courts were conducted in various markets and Meghna river.

The operation was conducted on Monday under the leadership of Sonargaon Assistant Commissioner (Ground) Ashraful Islam. Sonargaon Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Mahmuda Akhtar was present.

During the operation, 35 magic chai and 50 thousand meters of current net were seized and destroyed by mobile court in Battala Bazar, Mangaler Gao, Bazar and Panchani Ghat area of Pirojpur Union of Upazila. Mostafizur Rahman, Field Assistant of Fisheries Department was present at this time.
