Warm clothes market gains momentum at beginning of winter in Jhalakathi

In Jhalakathi like every year at the beginning of winter, middle class people are flocking to buy warm clothes.
The crowd has increased in the winter season markets. Trading goes on from morning till night every day. Every year after the onset of winter season, traders of Gown Market, Khan Super Market and pavement traders in Kapuria Elka have to wait for winter in Konkan. But this time the picture is completely opposite.
In the last two days, the markets are getting crowded as buyers from different villages have started coming at the beginning of the winter season. On the surface, the attention of buyers can be seen in various bahari hot clothing stores. Increasing the demand of winter clothes, they are bringing in different designs of winter clothes both domestically and abroad. The traders said that the price of the jacket fell from 55,000 to 60,000 taka. The price of the sweater is 30 thousand to 35 thousand taka.
All these knots are stuck in such a way that there is no way to know what kind of clothes are in them. After finding the good clothes from the pile, the shop owner jacked up the price. They determine the price of a particular garment. The seller can understand when the foreign vintage clothing that comes out of the guide is very liked by the buyer. Accordingly the price is lowered.
While talking to Zahid Hawlada who came to buy winter clothes on the sidewalk in front of various places, he said, children's winter clothes which could be bought for Tk 150 to Tk 180 earlier now have to be bought for Tk 250 to Tk 300. He accused the vendors of charging every extra rupee.
Many people are buying winter clothes in the clothes shops around Kumarpatri Market. Sellers are sitting in warm clothes. Business is also bustling with winter clothing vendors selling winter clothing as hawkers traveling around the city in vans.
Marketor Small traders buy clothes at wholesale prices from big traders and sell them on the pavement or from vans. After the winter season, the small traders turn to other professions.
