Turban distribution ceremony held in Barishal organized by Al Quran Foundation

A turban distribution ceremony was held at Mujibur Rahman Sarwar Tahfizul Quran Madrasa in Ward No. 1, West Kaunia, on Saturday noon.
 
The turban distribution ceremony was presided over by Principal Alhaj Maulana Mufti Mohammad Abdur Rab, Editor Al Quran Foundation, and Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar, Advisor to the Chairperson of BNP, former Mayor, former MP, Founder Chairman Al Quran Foundation, was present as the chief guest. Alhaj Maulana Mirza Nurul Rahman Beg, Imam and Khatib, Jame Ebadullah Mosque, was present as the special guest, and Alhaj Maulana Kazi Abdul Mannan, Imam and Khatib, Jame Kasai Mosque, was also present.
 
 The program was conducted by Alhaj Maulana Mohammad Shamsul Alam, Imam and Khatib, Baitul Mukarram Jame Mosque, Barisal. Also present were senior Ustad Hafez Maulana Akhtaruzzaman, and BNP Jubo Dal vice-president Moniruzzaman, Rafiqul Islam Shaheen, former joint organizing secretary of the Metropolitan Chhatra Dal, Harun Or Rashid, convener of Shayestabad Union BNP and social worker Md. Sohag, social worker K. Shimul, and prominent figures of the area.
 
In the program, founding chairman Mujibur Rahman Sarwar said, "I have had a special love for Islam since childhood. I have built many mosques, madrasas and various religious institutions in my parliamentary constituency. Since I am a Muslim, such religious services will accompany me after my death." At the end of the program, a prayer service was held, after which President Ziaur Rahman, national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, and BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman were sought for prayers in the prayer.
