A month-long Typhoid Vaccination Campaign was inaugurated in Faridpur on Sunday morning.
The event was organized by Civil Surgeon Office at the Faridpur District Administration School and College premises. The ceremony began with balloons, festoons, and release of pigeons by Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamrul Hasan Molla, marking the official start of the campaign.
A colourful procession was held, culminating in the administrative launch of typhoid vaccinations for students at the school. During the discussion session, Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamrul Hasan Molla delivered the keynote address.
Presided over by Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) Susmita Saha, Additional Superintendent of Police Asif Iqbal, Upazila Executive Officer (Sadar) Israt Jahan, District Education Officer Bishnupada Ghoshal, District Information Officer Mozammel Hossain, General Secretary of Faridpur Press Club Mahbub Hossain Piyal, Faridpur Municipal Executive Officer Robiul Haq, Upazila Education Officer Iqbal Hasan, and Secretary Inspector Bazlur Rashid, among others.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamrul Hasan Molla said, government initiative is extremely important and timely for protecting children’s health. Nearly 528,000 children across 9 upazilas of Faridpur district are targeted to receive the vaccine.
