Training workshop for jute farmers held in Tungipara

A day-long training workshop for jute farmers was held in Tungipara upazila of Gopalganj. The Department of Jute organized the event on Wednesday morning at the Upazila Parishad auditorium under the project titled "Production and Expansion of Jute and Jute Seeds Based on Advanced Technology (First Revised)".

Gopalganj District Jute Officer Mohammad Lutfur Rahman attended the workshop as the chief guest. He discussed modern jute cultivation techniques, the use of high-yield jute seeds, and improved methods of jute retting.

The workshop was presided over by UNO  Moinul Haque. Also present were Upazila Agriculture Officer Rakibul Islam and Assistant Officer of the Jute Department, Rigan Biswas.

Participating farmers were trained on various aspects of modern jute cultivation, seed production and preservation, and the use of environmentally friendly technology.

Organizers stated that through this training, farmers will gain knowledge of modern agricultural technologies, which will help increase production and promote sustainable jute farming.
