Muhammad Sohrab Al Hossain, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ashulia Police Station, has been named the best Officer-In-Charge of Dhaka District in recognition of his outstanding contributions to law enforcement, crime prevention, and execution of warrants.

The award was presented on Thursday afternoon during the monthly welfare, administrative, and crime review meeting held at the historic Mill Barrack Police Lines Conference Room. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dhaka District, Mohammad Anisuzzaman, PPM, handed over the crest and certificate to OC Sohrab Al Hossain.

According to sources within the district police, OC Sohrab has played a pivotal role in arresting criminals, facilitating the judicial process, gathering intelligence, and implementing preventive measures. Based on his overall performance, he was selected for the prestigious recognition.

This is not the first time OC Sohrab has been acknowledged for his excellence. He has previously received nearly a dozen accolades for his commendable service in various police units.

Since assuming charge of Ashulia Police Station on April 20, 2025, OC Sohrab’s effective leadership has led to a noticeable improvement in the area’s law and order situation. This, in turn, has enhanced public trust in the police force.

In response to receiving the award, Muhammad Sohrab Al Hossain said, we are relentlessly working to uphold the rule of law and restore public confidence. Our goal is to transform Ashulia into a safe and peaceful area."

The honour is expected to serve as a source of renewed motivation for the entire Ashulia Police Station in its continued service to the community.
