
SUST's Oceanography arranges Int'l Conference on MSP

The Oceanography Department has arranged 2-Day long International Conference on Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) for Advancing Sustainable Blue Growth at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet.
Associate Professor Dr. Subrata Sarker, Convenor of the conference, confirmed this on Sunday noon.
He said that our conference will continue from 15 April to 16 April. The inaugural session will be held at the Central Auditorium of the University at 9.00 AM. Prof Dr. A. M. Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of SUST, will be the chief guest of this session. Besides, Prominent persons from the different institutions will be present as our special guests.
Over 200 participants from 8 countries will present their research papers on different themes. A total of 123 papers will be presented at the conference in 7 technical sessions and one side event. The German Federal Ministry is providing overall support for the implementation of the program under the project, the Integrated Management of the Sundarbans Mangroves and the Marine Protected Area of Swatch of No Ground in Bangladesh (SoNG).
