Saraswati Puja, one of the religious festivals of the Hindu community, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and various formalities at Halta Douatla Wajed Ali Khan Degree College, a renowned institution in Bamna, Barguna.

The puja began at 9 am on Monday (February 3, 2025). At that time, all the students, teachers and employees of the college were present in a lively manner.

With the overall support of the college's education-loving principal Md. Shafiqul Islam, the convenor of the puja celebration committee was Vice-Principal Milan Krishna Halder and Assistant Professor Shyamal Pandey of the Department of Economics and Assistant Professor Babul Gomasta of the Department of Chemistry.

Besides, lecturer Sameer Samaddar, lecturer Lipi Roy, lecturer Liton Kumar Dhali, library teacher Banani Mitra and many others helped to make the puja beautiful and beautiful.

The puja mandap became filled with the sounds of drums, drums, conch shells and ulu. According to the scriptures, every year on the fifth day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Magh, the white and blessed Vidya Devi is worshipped. The devotees of Sanatan Dharma worship Goddess Saraswati as the giver of wealth, intelligence, knowledge, achievement, salvation and the source of strength.

Goddess Saraswati is in a white and white posture. The goddess holds the Vedas in one hand and the Veena in the other. For this reason, she is also called Veenapani.

According to traditional religious beliefs, the goddess, the patroness of knowledge and learning, appears among the devotees every year to enlighten the consciousness of people through her blessings.

Students are the focus of this puja. At the beginning, the idol is installed, the puja begins, flowers are offered and finally prasad is distributed.
