Jibo Dal leader Iktar Rahman, who beat the Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer of Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex in Chuadanga, has been expelled from the party along with his primary membership on clear charges of violating party discipline.

This information was given in a notice signed by Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan, Joint Office Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Nationalist Jubo Dal on Monday.

The notice stated that Iktar Rahman, a member of the convening committee of the Jibannagar Municipality Jubo Dal in Chuadanga, has been expelled from the party along with his primary membership on clear charges of being involved in activities against party discipline. The party will not take responsibility for any misdeeds of the expelled leaders.

Leaders and activists at all levels of Jubo Dal have been instructed not to have organizational relations with them. Nationalist Youth Dal Central Executive Committee President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan have already implemented this decision.

Earlier, the President-General Secretary of Chuadanga District Youth Dal appealed to the central office to take party action against Iqtar Rahman for his activities that are damaging the party's image in the Jibannagar municipal area, including various threats, extortion, and other misdeeds.

It is worth noting that last Saturday at around 11:30 pm, an allegation of an attack on Dr. Jahangir Alam Biswas, Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer of the Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex in Chuadanga, was raised against the leader of the municipal Youth Dal.

A CCTV footage of the doctor being beaten up on the premises of the health complex spread across the district, creating widespread discussion. In addition, the accused Youth Dal leader was expelled from the party a day after various media outlets including Country Today reported on the matter.
