Reception to July 12th warriors in Kalapara

A reception was given to the July 12th fighters on the occasion of the July Uprising Day in Kalapara, Patuakhali. The reception was organized by the upazila administration at the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Wednesday noon.
Kalapara UNO Md. Arifuzzaman presided over the program, and Patuakhali-4 MP Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain MP was present as the chief guest. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Yasin Sadek, Agriculture Officer Md. Arafat Hossain, Project Implementation Officer Md. Mokchedul Alam, Upazila BNP President Haji Humayun Sikder, Secretary Adv Hafizur Rahman Chunnu and others were present as special guests at the program.
Earlier, at 9 am, UNO Md. Arifuzzaman, along with the officials and employees of the upazila administration, paid tribute to the July martyrs by laying flowers at the central Shaheed Minar of the municipal city, ignoring the hostile weather. Later, leaders of the upazila BNP, various political parties, various educational institutions and socio-cultural organizations laid wreaths.
Besides, after Zohar, special prayers were held at mosques, temples, churches, pagodas and other religious places of worship, a special feast was held at hospitals and orphanages at noon, a discussion meeting on the significance of July Day was held at Upazila Parishad auditorium at 3:30 pm, and the families of the martyrs and the injured were given a reception. .
