Protests, vandalism in AL leaders' houses in Jhalakati

Last night, former ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave a speech through virtual media. In protest of her speech, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the crowd demolished Dhanmondi No. 32 that night. In continuation of this, protests and attacks were carried out at various Awami League establishments in Jhalokati on Thursday morning.
On Thursday morning (Feb 6), the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the crowd vandalized the house of senior Awami League leader and spokesperson of the 14-party Amir Hossain Amur, including various institutions in the name of his family.
On Thursday morning, in front of the Jhalokati Shilpakala Academy, the leaders and activists of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the crowd attacked and vandalized Begum Firoza Amu Homeopathy Medical College and Begum Firoza Amu Jhalakati Technical and BM College, including former MP Amir Hossain Amu
After that, they went to Amur's burnt residence and started vandalizing. Local sources also said that after the student uprising on August 5, the Awami League government fell and Sheikh Hasina left the country. After that, the angry crowd attacked Amur's house in Jhalakathi and set it on fire. Later, the army and police recovered about 50 million taka and foreign currency from the house, which was burnt and intact.
Anti-discrimination student movement leader Khaleda Saifulah said that Sheikh Hasina is sitting in India and is slandering the country. We are demanding that she be brought back to the country and hanged quickly.
Anti-discrimination student movement leader Rikon Mahmud said that Awami League will not be allowed to carry out any activities. Their narrative must be erased from the country forever. All Awami League establishments in Jhalakathi, including Hossain Amu, will be destroyed. They must not create any new fascism.
