After August 5, the anti-discrimination student crowd has once again erupted in anger over the virtual speech of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina.

In an expression of this anger, on Thursday afternoon, the student crowd played the election campaign song of the A. League's election symbol, the boat, and vandalized Said's house in the city. Then it was set on fire. At that time, the student crowd detained Kazi Tushar, the former president of the Chhatra League's municipal branch, who was banned from staying nearby, and handed him over to the police.

Confirming the arrest, Pabna Sadar Police Station OC Abdus Salam said that Tushar was moving freely around the area at that time. When the students saw him, he chased him and entered a mosque in Shalgariya fearing for his life. He was detained at that time and reported to the police station, but he was rescued. He is now in police custody. He is accused of attacking the student movement. Necessary action will be taken after analyzing the evidence.

It was seen on the spot that the angry student crowd entered and vandalized Said's house in the Shalgaria area of Pabna city. Meanwhile, various songs including the AL election campaign song 'Joy Bangla, win the boat this time' are being played on the microphone on the street in front of the house. Earlier, the student crowd gathered at the city's Swadhinata Chattar around 4 pm. Then, they took out a protest procession and went to Said's Shalgaria house and vandalized it and set it on fire. Even after Sheikh Hasina left the country on August 5, Said's house was vandalized and set on fire.

Abu Said, along with his associates, opened fire on the student movement on August 4. Two students named Zahid and Niloy were killed in this incident. Said is the main accused in the case filed in this incident. He is the organizing secretary of Sadar Upazila AL and former chairman of the controversial Bhandara Union.

In addition, at around 10:30 last night, the nameplate of the Sheikh Russell Hall of Edward College was removed and the gate with the banner of the Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall was demolished. On the same night, the student crowd broke and removed the plaques of the Sheikh Russell Hall and Sheikh Hasina Hall of the Pabna University of Science and Technology. Then, at around 11:00 pm, the index finger of Sheikh Mujib was broken from the terracotta mural at the Independence Square in memory of the city's hero Rafiqul Islam Bakul. From there, the student crowd, angry about the procession, vandalized and set fire to the AL office that had been vandalized earlier.
