Former Puthia Upazila Chairman Samad Molla arrested

District Detective Branch (DB) police arrested Adv Abdus Samad, Organizing Secretary of Rajshahi District Awami League and former Puthia Upazila Parishad Chairma on Thursday at around 2 am.
They conducted a raid in the Nayapara area of Puthia Upazila and arrested him from his house. After knowing that the police had surrounded his house, he hid in a goat's house. He was arrested from there.
According to the police, Awami League leader Abdus Samad was responsible for organizing the leaders and activists of Puthia Upazila Awami League. So that everyone could carry out the sabotage work as instructed.
OC of Puthia Police Station Kabir Hossain said, the Awami League, Jubo League, and the banned Chhatra League leaders and activists of the area had been organizing anti-state activities for quite some time. That is why he was arrested.
