One such distinguished academician and skilled administrator is Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman Khokon, Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor and Treasurer of Prime University. A former Member of Parliament and prominent public figure, Dr. Rahman has been a driving force in educational advancement and public service.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to spreading education, fostering institutional excellence, and driving positive social transformation, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahman has been honoured with the prestigious ‘The Glory of Bangladesh Award 2026’ recently.

As the founder and former president of the Betagi Press Club in coastal Barguna, his accomplishment has sparked widespread joy and pride among local journalists and media professionals in Betagi.

A lifelong advocate for education, Prof. Dr. Rahman has contributed significantly to both primary and higher education sectors. He founded Sabuj Kanan Primary School and Kabi Nazrul High School in his hometown Betagi in Barguna and previously served as the Acting Principal of Betagi Degree College. He earned his Ph.D. Degree from India and has since dedicated his career to nurturing talent and ethical values among students.

Currently managing key leadership roles at Prime University with utmost integrity, dedication, and transparency, Prof. Dr. Rahman's conferment with 'The Glory of Bangladesh Award 2026' serves as a deserving national and societal recognition of his lifelong dedication to education, research, and community service.
