Keeping in mind the theme 'Plant a tree for everyone, decorate Mirsarai with greenery', this year too, like every year, voluntary social development organization Durbar Pragati Sangathan and Mirsarai General Hospital have organized a program to plant and distribute 1,000 saplings.

Inaugurating the program organized at the organization's work area on Wednesday. Mirsarai UNO Somaiya Akhter said, "Trees are our best friends. There is no alternative to trees to save life and nature. This initiative of Durbar to protect the environment is very positive."

Upazila Primary Education Officer Rozina Rahman spoke as a special guest at the event.

Mirsarai General Hospital Managing Director Mohammad Farhad Hossain said that the importance of trees in protecting the environment is immense. He also said that in the future, they will take initiatives to provide free treatment to orphaned men and women.

Also present at the event were Mirsarai General Hospital AGM Touhidul Islam Nishan, Yasir Arafat, known as a friend of the environment, Durbar Pragati Organization President Mohammad Abdullah, and the organization's donor member Md. Jasim Uddin, life member Md. Nur Uddin Selim, Jamshed Alam Chowdhury Topu, Arif Hossain Bablu, former President Ripon Kumar Das, former Senior Vice President Zafar Iqbal, Executive Member Tariqur Rahman Babu, Assistant Finance Secretary Alauddin, Publicity and Publication Secretary Md. Iftekhar Uddin, Office Secretary Mezbah Uddin, Health and Environment Secretary Mohammad Maruf and Social Welfare Sub-Council Convener Ashraf Hossain were present.

As part of the program, 1,000 saplings of fruit, forest and medicinal trees were distributed and planted free of cost among the local people.
