Finally body of Afghan citizen Hasmat  was buried in Jhenaidah

After 140 days of burial, the body of Afghan citizen Hasmat Mohammadi was exhumed from the Jhenaidah Municipal Central Cemetery after a long legal and official process. 
 
The body was exhumed from the grave in the presence of the district and police administration on Tuesday (September 1) afternoon. It was handed over to his younger brother Imal Mohammadi, who came from Afghanistan, to bury his brother in his homeland.
 
Executive Magistrate Mehedi Hasan of the Jhenaidah District Commissioner's Office, Medical Officer Dr. Farhana Tasnim, the investigation officer of the incident and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Maheshpur Police Station Tipu Sultan, the lawyer of the deceased Advocate Mahmudul Hasan Masum, the brother of the deceased Hasmat Mohammadi, Imal Mohammadi, Dulal Hossain of Jhenaidah Anjumane Mofidul Islam and representatives of various government intelligence agencies.
 
The brother of the deceased, Imal Mohammadi, became emotional after receiving the body. In a tearful voice, he expressed his deep gratitude to the Bangladesh government, Jhenaidah district administration, police department and local journalists. He said, “Due to the earnest pleas of his ailing mother, I am taking my brother’s frozen body to his own country and burying it in the family graveyard, this is the ultimate consolation for us. We are eternally grateful for the sincere cooperation that the Bangladesh government and the local administration of Jhenaidah have extended to us during the long wait.”
 
 The deceased's Bangladeshi lawyer, Advocate Mahmudul Hasan Masum, said that the body could be exhumed today after the final approval of the Home and Foreign Ministries and after all the legal procedures. Noting that the positive and sympathetic role of local journalists in this work was highly commendable, he said, "The whole matter quickly gained official importance due to the strong reporting and humanitarian approach of journalists."
 
Executive Magistrate Mehedi Hasan said in this regard, "The body of Afghan citizen Hasmat Mohammadi has been exhumed from the grave and handed over to his relatives after complying with all legal rules and regulations and ensuring that the necessary official procedures are complete."
 
His brother Imal Mohammadi had been in Bangladesh for 58 days with the necessary documents to repatriate the body to his homeland. Finally, after receiving the no-objection certificate from the ministry, the relatives picked up the body and left for their homeland on Tuesday, 140 days after the burial.
