Newly elected members of DU Debating Society handover charge to Executive Board

The handover ceremony of the Executive Board of the Dhaka University Debating Society for the 2026-2027 session was held on Thursday at the July Shaheed Smriti Bhaban Auditorium of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall.
Dhaka University Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury was the chief guest at the event, while the organization's Chief Moderator Professor Dr. S. M. Shamim Reza and Moderator Professor Dr. Amirus Salat were present as special guests.
The 2025-2026 Executive Board President Zubair Hossain Shahed and General Secretary Ragib Anjum officially handed over their responsibilities to the newly elected 2026-2027 Executive Board President Md. Sajid Hasan and General Secretary Miftahul Jannat Rifat.
Dhaka University Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that to be successful in the current corporate world, he emphasized on acquiring the ability to work as a team, acquiring the ability to think outside the box, and being innovative. He mentioned that debating can play a role in acquiring these skills. The new executive board will serve for the next one year.
