Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) observed "July Mass Uprising Day 2026" through a series of commemorative programmes held on Wednesday. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Brigadier General S M Lutfor Rahman, attended the programme as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest said, "We must all carry out our respective responsibilities with dedication and sincerity from our own positions. It is essential to preserve the significant history of the sacrifices made by the July fighters and martyrs for future generations. I hope the initiatives undertaken by the present Government will be implemented effectively and achieve their intended objectives."

The discussion session was moderated by Tabassum Jaman Safa, Lecturer, Department of English. Among the speakers were Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, Treasurer of BAUET; Prof Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Science & Humanities and the Faculty of Law; Sheikh Taufiqul Islam, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration; Sarwar Rahman, a student of the Department of Law and Justice; and Sadia Islam Tisha, a student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).

Among others were present Colonel Hla Han Maung (Retd.), Controller of Examinations; Prof Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuyan, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE); Major Md. Monjinul Mubin (Retd.), Acting Registrar; heads of departments, the Proctor, the Student Welfare Advisor, officers, staff members, and student representatives from all departments.

After Zohor prayer, a special dua was offered at the University's Central Jame Mosque, seeking eternal peace for the souls of the July martyrs, good health and well-being for the July fighters, and peace, prosperity, and continued progress for the nation.
