‎In a meeting held in honor of journalists at Bagerhat Circuit House, Bangladesh Jamaat Ameer and opposition party leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said in the context of Awami League politics, we do not think they should come into politics now. Because they killed the politics of this country, they established the reign of terror. They emptied the chests of countless mothers, countless people fell asleep, all the disappeared have not returned yet. In this situation, will Awami League come into politics now? He also asked this question.

‎So far, Awami League has not expressed any regret for this incident. They have no regrets. The party that disappeared countless people of this country, killed countless people, crippled countless people. A generation stood against it, they did not show any regrets. It is an injustice, a heinous crime to bring them into politics just to make the party heavy. No one should commit such a heinous crime.

While shedding light on the responsible role of the government, he said, it is the government's responsibility to maintain peace and order in the country. The more the government manages this area, the better Bangladesh will be run. We are definitely cooperating within the parliament where cooperation is needed and opposing where opposition is needed.

The meeting, chaired by Bagerhat District Jamaat Ameer Maulana Rezaul Karim, was attended by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Committee member Principal Mohammad Izzat Ullah MP, Bagerhat 1 Constituency MP Maulana Md. Mashiur Rahman, Bagerhat 2 constituency MP Sheikh Manjurul Haque Rahad, Bagerhat 4 constituency MP Principal Md. Abdul Alim, and leaders of various levels of Bagerhat District Jamaat.

More than fifty journalists from print and electronic media working in Bagerhat were present at the meeting with journalists.
