Meeting in memory of injured, martyrs of student uprising held in Khulna

A meeting was held on Wednesday morning at Khulna District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium in memory of the injured and martyrs of the July-August 2024 student uprising.
Divisional Commissioner Md. Helal Mahmud Sharif was the chief guest at the memorial meeting organized by Khulna district administration.
At the beginning of the meeting, a minute's silence was observed in memory of the injured and martyrs of the July-August student uprising and a special prayer was held at the end of the program.
The chief guest at the commemoration meeting said that the people of the country got a new Bangladesh in July-August co-optation of students. It is now everyone's responsibility to build a new Bangladesh according to the will of the people. A new chapter has begun in the mass uprising. We want a modern and non-discriminatory society. There can be no discrimination in Bangladesh. He also said that struggle against any adversity is a human tradition and we have seen it throughout the ages.
May the sacrifices of all those who gave their lives, sacrificed, suffered, and mothers who lost their children succeed in guiding others. May we build a beautiful Bangladesh and a beautiful society with everyone.
Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md. Zulfikar Ali Haider, Range DIG Md. Rezaul Haque, Superintendent of Police TM Mosharraf Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sheikh Safiqul Islam and the family member of the martyred family in the uprising, mother of Shaheed Shakib Raihan, Nur Nahar.
Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam presided over it.
Heroic freedom fighter Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Imam Parishad general secretary Maulana Gholam Kibria, journalist Sheikh Didarul Alam, Ehteshamul Haque Shawon, injured student Jeeban Hawladar, Khulna University student Al-Shahriar, BL college student Shahriar Saad, Lamia Akhtar and others spoke at the event.
