Businessman held over illegal storage of TCB product in Kishoreganj

The joint forces including police have conducted a raid at a godown of Treader Himel Miah in Manikkhali Bazar of Kishoreganj on Tuesday night, and recovered TCB 36 sacks rice and 594 liters (296 bottles) 297 of soybean oil.

Police sources, based on secret information, a person named Himel of Malikkhali Bazar in katiadi upazila was arrested along with 36 sacks of TCB rice weighing 30 kg and 297 bottles of soyaben oil of two liters. In the initial interrogation, Himel said that he purchased these products from TCB service users. Katiadi, Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tarikul Islam said that, Upazila Food Officer Rubaidul Rana has filed a case with the police station as a plaintiff.
The arrested person has been sent to jail.Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of katiadi, Maidul Islam told the New Nation that whether anyone else is involved, including TCB's card distributor, will be found out through investigation.
