Monthly meeting of Legal Aid Committee held in C'nawabganj

The monthly meeting of the Legal Aid Committee was held in Chapainawabganj. The meeting was organized by the District Legal Aid Committee on Wednesday afternoon at the conference room of the District Judge's Court.
The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the District Legal Aid Committee (District and Sessions Judge) Md. Mizanur Rahman.
The Chairman of the Committee said that the poorest people of the country are getting free legal services through Legal Aid. The Upazila and Union units should be activated to make the activities of the Legal Aid Committee more dynamic and accelerated. He said that there is no alternative to the coordinated efforts of judges and lawyers as well as those concerned to implement the objectives of the Legal Aid project.
The meeting was moderated by District Legal Aid Officer and Senior Assistant Judge Begum Rukhshana Khanam and attended by Chief Judicial Magistrate (Acting) Md. Abu Taleb, Assistant Commissioner of District Administration and Executive Magistrate Md. Aminul Islam as special guests.
The meeting was attended by - President of the District Bar Association Adv. Solaiman Bishu, General Secretary Adv. Ekramul Haque Pintu, PP of the District and Sessions Judge Court Adv. Md. Abdul Wadud, GP Adv. Md. Mosaddek Hossain. Among the lawyers on the Legal Aid panel Adv. Afsar Ali, Adv. Laila Chowdhury (1st female lawyer of the district), Adv. Md. Hamidul Haque and Project Officer of the Lighthouse Md. Salah Uddin were present.
