LGRD State Minister Shahe Alam : True democracy currently prevails in country

True democracy currently prevails in Bangladesh, said Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives.
At 11 am on Saturday, participating in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Mokamtala Union Parishad office in Mokamtala Upazila of Bogura and distributing relief materials to families affected by natural disasters, he said in his speech as the chief guest, that the holding of the presidential election in a democratic manner is a great proof of the practice and development of democracy in the country.
He also thanked and expressed gratitude to the opposition party for participating in the presidential election. He said that only Almighty Allah is the owner of honour. He can give honour to anyone at any time, and can also take that honour away from anyone at any time. No politician should be arrogant. Our Prime Minister is running the country very beautifully and responsibly.
Local public representatives, political leaders, administration officials and people from different walks of life were present at the event.
Later, he distributed relief materials among the families affected by the natural disaster. Later, he inspected the development activities of Mokamtala Union Jame Mosque and Mokamtala Playground.
UNO Ziaur Rahman, Upazila Engineer Sihadul Islam, Upazila BNP Convener Mahmud Hossain Toufique, Joint Convener Mahbub Alam Manik, Mamun Talukder, Abdul Wares Akando, Ruhul Amin Fatu, Abdus Salam, Member Secretary Rokon Ud Daula Rubel, among others were present.
