Land Ministry to launch 'Bhumidrishti' app to ensure attendance, transparency in land offices

The Ministry of Land is set to officially launch "Bhumidrishti," a geo-fencing attendance system mobile application, on Thursday, aimed at ensuring timely attendance, transparency, and accountability among field-level land officials and employees.
The formal inauguration will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at the Ministry of Land conference room in the Bangladesh Secretariat. Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, will attend the event as the chief guest, with State Minister for Land Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, MP, present as the special guest, in a ceremony presided over by Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land A S M Saleh Ahmed.
Developed with technical assistance from Parallaxlogic Infotech (PLX), the geo-fencing technology limits user check-ins strictly within the designated virtual GPS perimeter of each land office.
Initially, a pilot project of the app has been initiated across 610 land offices in six districts—Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Bogura, Rajshahi, and Chattogram—covering 919 officers and employees. Following successful pilot testing, the ministry plans to roll out the system to all divisional, district, upazila, and union land offices nationwide.
The initiative follows an earlier proposal presented to the Prime Minister by State Minister Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin during the Land Service Fair at Tejgaon Bhumi Bhaban on May 19.
