Health sector itself was sick during fascist govt : Khairul Kabir Khokon MP

BNP Joint Secretary General and MP from Narsingdi-1 constituency Khairul Kabir Khokon said, "During the fascist government, the health sector itself was sick. Medical equipment was looted in the name of purchasing parts. Various parts were imported and left behind day after day due to commission corruption.
Many were not appointed due to joining the nationalist party. Many doctors were made OSD. Looting, corruption, and partyization were their main objectives. They have brought the country to the brink of destruction. Today, a democratic government has been established by the people's vote. Our Prime Minister Tarique Rahman wants to ensure that not a single person dies without treatment. He has already undertaken various programs to bring healthcare to the doorstep of the people."
He made these remarks at a meeting with doctors at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital on Wednesday afternoon on improving the quality of healthcare.
The event was presided over by the President of Narsingdi District Branch of Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Dr. M. S. S. Hasan Al Jami and moderated by General Secretary Dr. Nurullah Al Masud. Civil Surgeon and Superintendent of District Sadar Hospital Dr. Md. Bulbul Kabir, Vice President of Narsingdi District DAB Dr. A. Q. M. Mobin, Dr. Abdullah Al Masud and many others were present.
