KFA Sohel appointed as Registrar of BAUET

Lieutenant Colonel KFA Sohel (Retired) has been appointed as the new Registrar of the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET), says a press release.
He replaced Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Sunny Mohammad Talha (Retired). The Vice-Chancellor of BAUET, Brigadier General Md. Mizanuzzaman, officially handed over the responsibilities to him in a simple ceremony held on September 1, 2024.
Before joining BAUET, Lt. Col. Sohel (Retd.) served as the Deputy Project Director for the e-passport project under the Department of Immigration and Passport. He completed his SSC in 1993 and HSC in 1995 from Barisal Cadet College. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree (Pass) from the Bangladesh Military Academy in 1997 and a Diploma in Arabic from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in 2019. Currently, he is pursuing a Professional Master’s in Islamic Studies at the University of Dhaka.
KFA Sohel was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Bangladesh Army on 11 December 1997. Over his career, he has been involved in various training, auditing, and deputation assignments both within and outside the country. Internationally, he served in United Nations missions in Congo and Ivory Coast, and visited countries like Turkey, England, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Uganda.
In his personal life, he is the father of one son and one daughter. He seeks everyone's prayers for his future endeavors.
