9 shops gutted in Patuakhali in night, damage worth crores of taka

In Patuakhali Sadar Upazila, Chhota Bighai Union Office's Hat Bazar burnt down 9 shops in the middle of the night. It is estimated that there has been a loss of around 1 crore rupees.
It can be seen on the ground that the fire started in the late night on Monday
9 shops lined up in the market were reduced to ashes. The affected businesses include grocery, fruit, confectionery, fuel gas, tea and beverages. Earlier, miscreants attacked 13 shops with domestic sharp weapons on two nights on January 11 and 12 and looted the goods of the shops.
After the attack, traders spent the night in their homes as panic spread through the market. A day after the attack, nothing is known about how the fire started.
Kamal Parvez, President of Traders and Market Committee, said today's fire could be a planned incident. The CCTV cameras located in the market controlled by the Union Parishad were also broken.
