In the wake of the situation, the JU administration sat with the VC on Tuesday afternoon and after several hours' of discussion, around 12:15AM, Kamrul Ahsan decided to cancel the ward quota.
"The ward quota system was cancelled in the meeting of the Central Admission Test Committee," VC Kamrul said during briefing to media at an early hour.
