Md. Harunur Rashid Tutul, a prominent figure from Joypurhat, has officially assumed responsibility as the new chairman of the Graphic Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University (DU), the country's highest educational institution.

His glorious entry into the country's top educational institution has created a wave of joy throughout his native Joypurhat district. This achievement has spread joy and excitement among his relatives, childhood classmates, and local people from all walks of life.

Harunur Rashid Tutul was born in Sagar Para area of Joypurhat city. He completed his secondary education from the local Teghar High School and later his higher secondary education from Joypurhat Government College. Deeply interested in art, culture and scouting since childhood, Tutul was admitted to the then Institute of Fine Arts (now Faculty) of Dhaka University.
After completing his studies with academic excellence, he started his career as a teacher in the same department. Through honesty, talent, and relentless hard work, he has today held the highest administrative position in the department.

A memorial to a noble and humble personality
People from various local political, social, and cultural organizations congratulated him on his appointment as the department chairman.

Joypurhat Press Club Publicity and Publication Secretary Md. Moannaf Hossain Shimul said, "We were students of the same school. Tutul was a sociable boy with a bright smile. I am very proud of his promotion."

Joypurhat District Press Club General Secretary Rezaul Karim Reza said, "Harunur Rashid Tutul is my uncle. On behalf of myself and Joypurhat District Press Club, I congratulate him and we are happy that he has been appointed as the chairman of the graphics design department of an institution like Dhaka University. I need to say a few things about him. When he comes to Joypurhat on vacation, he mixes with the common people like in childhood. He is a person of no arrogance and positive thinking.

Joypurhat District BNP Convener Golzar Hossain said, "My dear younger brother from school and college is Tutul. Many people change when they reach a higher position, but Tutul remains as simple as before. When he comes to Joypurhat, he hangs out with his friends as before. We are very happy and proud of his success."

Joypurhat District Council Administrator and District BNP Senior Joint Convener Masud Rana Pradhan said, "We studied in the same school and college. On behalf of the District Council and the people of the district, I warmly congratulate him on his appointment as the chairman of the Graphic Design Department of DU."

Under Tutul's dynamic leadership, DU's Graphic Design Department will reach new heights in research and artistic practice and further enhance the country's image in the international arena.
