Items used by Shaheed Abu Sayeed, Shaheed Wasim handed over to July Memorial Museum

The items used by Shaheed Md. Abu Sayeed Mia and Shaheed Md. Wasim Akram were handed over to the Dhaka University authorities for preservation in the ‘July Memorial Museum’ of Dhaka University. Shaheed Md. Abu Sayeed Mia’s mother, Mosha. Monowara Begum, and Shaheed Md. Wasim Akram’s father, Shafiul Alam, handed over these items to Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan on Sunday.
At the time, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Prof Dr. M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Associate Professor Reza Asad Al Huda Anupam, Proctor Associate Prof Saifuddin Ahmed and Convener of the Provost Standing Committee Dr. Abdullah-al-Mamun along with family members of martyrs Md. Abu Sayeed Mia and Shaheed Wasim Akram were present.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan paid deep tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the July student-people's uprising and said, "A decision has been taken to establish the 'July Memorial Museum' at Dhaka University to preserve the memory of the martyrs and injured in the mass uprising. There are plans to gradually transform it into a full-fledged museum. The belongings used by those who sacrificed themselves in the anti-discrimination student movement and the uprising will be preserved here with great care. We are in regular contact with the family members of the martyrs. He also mentioned that the martyr's family is being involved in various university programs.
