Md Rakel Islam, Bogura

Various day-long events were held in Bogura on Friday to mark the sixth founding anniversary of the cultural organization 'Dal Anyarkom'. The organization entered its seventh year with these events. The event titled 'Singing in the spirit of Shravan with the melody-music-poetry-talk in the spirit of Shravan' was organized at the city's Shaheed Titu Auditorium.

The program was inaugurated at 4 pm by Bogura City Corporation Administrator MR Islam Swadhin. The chief guest was Bogra-6 MP Md. Rezaul Karim Badsha. The special guest was Bogra District Council Administrator AKM Ahsanul Tayyab Zakir.

Also present at the inaugural session were Professor Dr. Md. Bellal Hossain, Principal of Government Mujibur Rahman Bhandari Women's College, Professor Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, Chief Executive of TMSS, Professor Mozammel Haque Lalu, Editor of Daily Karatoya, KM Khairul Bashar, Chief Coordinator of Bogra Cultural Forum, Principal Engineer Md. Sahabuddin Saikat of Beat Model School and College, and prominent figures from the cultural, social and educational fields.

At the beginning of the program, the martyrs of the great liberation war and various progressive movements were remembered. Later, the national anthem was performed by cornet artist Bikash. A children's painting competition was organized on the occasion of the founding anniversary, in which more than a hundred students participated. In addition, Dr. Nirjhar Adhikari and Paushram Sarkar jointly performed classical music and rhythmic movements accompanied by tabla and flute, and a dance by national award-winning dancer Porshi was performed.

In the evening, the main event of 'Dal Anyarkom' was a singing recital. In this, along with a recital commemorating Kazi Nazrul Islam on the occasion of Nazrul Barsho, modern songs of the golden age, original songs, folk fusion, lalon, bhavaiya and Sufi qawwali were performed.

Sobhani Bappi, Swargiya Touhid, Sanaur Rahman, Alok Pal, Bayezid Nib, Rabiul Karim, Amirul Rocky, Al Ghalib and Rahul Samran, among others, participated in the singing. The program was hosted by H Alim.

The chief guest at the closing ceremony was the acting Director General of Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogra, Md. Abdul Majid Pramanik. The special guests were Superintendent of Police (CID) Motahar Hossain, President of Bogra Press Club Rezaul Hasan Ranu, Convener of JASAS Bogra District Branch Wahid Murad, Director of Bogra Chamber of Commerce and Industry Parimal Chandra Das and many others.

Both parts of the program were presided over by Kalam Azad, general secretary of Bogra Press Club and chief advisor of 'Dal Anyarkom'. Bogra Theater, College Theater, Bhor Holo and Hindol Academy collaborated in the organization.

Sobhani Bappi, Member Secretary of 'Dal Anyarkom', said that the enthusiasm and love of the audience has increased their responsibility. They will continue to try to present new performances to the audience in the coming days through the practice of pure culture.
