Though the admission to the medical college was won in the war, Joy Karmakar and his family did not think about the end of the admission. It was not possible for the parents of the day laborers to provide for the day to bring his admission fee.
Joy Karmakar is younger of three children of Ashok Karmakar and Suchitra Karmakar couple in Harinagar village of Shamnagar upazila of Satkhira. Although the only sister is married, her elder brother Rakhi Karmakar is studying in the second year of honors at Kushtia University.
