Colourful rally, discussion meeting in Satkhira on World Teachers' Day

World Teachers' Day-2025 was celebrated in Satkhira with colorful arrangements under the theme 'Teaching Profession: The Light of Joint Effort'. 
 
On Sunday,  the Satkhira District Administration and Education Administration organized a series of programs on this occasion. On the occasion of the day, a colorful rally started from in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office at 11 am, circled the Collectorate premises and then met for a discussion meeting in the Deputy Commissioner's conference room.
 
At the event, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed and moderated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Ripon Biswas, Satkhira Government High School Principal Md. Aminul Islam Tuku presented content on multimedia projectors highlighting the importance and significance of the day and on what needs to be done to improve the quality of education.
 
The meeting was attended by Satkhira Government College Principal Abul Hashem, Satkhira Government Women's College Principal Basudeb Basu, Satkhira District Education Officer Mufti Abul Khair, Upazila Secondary Education Officer (acting) Abul Hossain, Satkhira District Primary Education Officer Md. Ruhul Amin, Satkhira Sadar Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Asaduzzaman, Satkhira Alia Madrasa Principal Dr. Mufti Akhtaruzzaman, Satkhira Government Girls' High School Headmaster Md. Alauddin, Bangladesh Teachers' Association Satkhira District Branch President Md. Amanullah, General Secretary Md. Abdul Malek Gazi, Bangladesh Teachers' Association Satkhira Sadar Upazila Branch President Md. Mominul Islam, General Secretary Md. Abdullah, and various college principals, secondary, primary and madrasa headmasters.
 
In the discussion meeting, the speakers described the lonely era of teaching and demanded the formulation and implementation of a 'Complete Education Policy' to protect the dignity of teachers. The speakers emphasized the importance of increasing the respect and dignity of teachers in improving the quality of education and said that a teacher is a candle who burns himself and gives light to others.
 
The speakers demanded that the government remove all discrimination in the education sector at the public and private levels and restore equality. They demanded that training be arranged to improve the skills of teachers. 
 
 
During the ceremony, four distinguished teachers selected at the district level were presented with honorary mementos. They are: Associate Professor Md. Maruf Kabir of Kalaroa Government College, Associate Professor of Kaliganj Government Technical School and College,
Principal (Acting) Engineer Md. Humayon Kabir, Headmaster of Rambhadrapur Government Primary School in Kalaroa Upazila Md. Manjurul Islam and Assistant Teacher of Haibatpur Government Primary School in Shyamnagar Upazila Md. Aminur Rahman.
