Allegations of embezzling orphans' money against expatriate in Mirsarai

Jahurul Haque, an expatriate of Hingunguli Union in Mirsarai Upazila of Chittagong, has been accused of embezzling money from an orphan.
The late Jahangir Alam Akash, an expatriate from Oman, died in a tragic road accident on July 18, 2024. The late Jahangir's father, Mohammad Shafi, is living a miserable life with his 2-year-old child, elderly parents and his wife. His father, mother and wife are devastated after losing the late Jahangir.
Earlier, Jahangir's family had been renting a house in Idris Bhaban of Mehedi Nagar village, Hingguli Union, with his parents for 8 years, so the owner of the house, expatriate Zahurul Haque, had a good relationship with the family of the late Jahangir. After the road accident, expatriate Zahurul Haque assured the family of the insurance compensation for the car that was involved in the accident according to the prevailing law of Oman. According to the law of Oman, the government of that country paid 8210 Omani dinars for the fine of the late Jahangir's car, which is approximately 26 lakh taka in Bangladeshi taka. Meanwhile, when expatriate Zahurul Haque came to the country to collect the money from that check, he had a problem with the family of the late Jahangir.
When Jahurul Haque's family talked to him about the money, the late Jahangir misbehaved with the family and threatened them to leave the house, saying that he could give them 3 lakh taka.
Later, Mohammad Shafi, the father of the late Jahangir Alam Akash, filed a case in court, Case No.: C,R 311/2025. After filing the case, the late Jahangir threatened to leave the family's house and to search for them, but the family left the house.
The late Jahangir's father Shafi said, "After the death of my son, I am living an inhuman life with my orphaned grandson and his son's wife. We have made a big mistake in our lives by trusting this Jahurul Haque. We never thought that he would harass me like this with my dead son's money. May Allah judge him."
Meanwhile, when I asked the accused Zahurul Haque about the embezzlement of money, he said that I got 22 lakh taka from them by working for money with a release letter. 11 lakh taka was spent in that country, then I wanted to pay 7 lakh taka after deducting 4 lakh taka from my expenses, but they filed a case against me without taking the money.
