 The Bangladesh Coast Guard successfully concluded its inaugural five-day international training program, titled "Brown Water Operation and Anti-Human Trafficking Course-2026," hosted at the training establishment BCG Base Agrajatra from October 25 to October 29.

Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon said this in a press release  on Thursday morning.

The specialized course comprised 12 officers, including eight international military and maritime security personnel from Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Kenya, and Australia. Two officers from the Bangladesh Navy and two from the Bangladesh Coast Guard also completed the advanced curriculum.

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Monjur Morshed Chowdhury attended the closing and certificate distribution ceremony as chief guest, alongside Director General of the Bangladesh Coast Guard Rear Admiral Md. Moinul Hasan and senior military and civilian officials.

Designed to enhance operational capabilities in riverine and coastal environments, the course focused on anti-human trafficking tactics, inter-agency intelligence sharing, and regional maritime security cooperation aimed at countering transnational organized crime.

Addressing the assembly, Senior Secretary Monjur Morshed Chowdhury commended the Bangladesh Coast Guard for its professional standards, institutional training capacity, and contributions toward safeguarding territorial waters, protecting marine resources, and rendering humanitarian assistance. He emphasized that structured international military exchanges significantly bolster regional security architectures and enhance Bangladesh's professional standing on the global stage.

Official representatives confirmed that BCG Base Agrajatra will continue hosting similar multinational security programs to elevate indigenous training institutions to international standards and foster enduring bilateral partnerships among allied nations.
