
BNP Infighting over contract work leaves 10 Injured in Hatibandha

A clash between two BNP groups over cement unloading work left 10 people injured in Hatibandha, Lalmonirhat.
The clash happened on Thursday night during a dispute over a contract for an electricity pole project near the Teesta Barrage. One critically injured person was taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, while others were treated locally.
Local leaders accused each other of starting the violence. Police intervened and filed cases against 22 people. Locals say political and economic rivalry caused the clash and urged government action to stop further violence.
Hatibandha Police OC Mahbubunnabi confirmed that law enforcement intervened promptly to bring the situation under control.
