Jubo Dal President Munna in N'ganj : None can engage in terrorism if BNP comes to power

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj

President of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Abdul Monayem Munna, has said, no member of Awami League, Jubo League, or Chhatra League will be allowed to infiltrate BNP or its affiliated organizations.

He emphasized that anyone identified as an infiltrator will face strict action without any exceptions. No infiltrator from Awami League will be given any opportunity under any circumstances. If anyone secretly supports the fascists in wrongdoing, they will be identified and held accountable.

Speaking as the chief guest at an event organized by the Narayanganj Metropolitan Jubo Dal, Munna made these remarks on Friday at the Bibi Maryam School grounds in Killarpool.

The event was held to distribute Eid food packages, sarees, and lungis among the poor and underprivileged.

Criticizing the influential Osman family of Narayanganj, Munna claimed that they had turned the city into a hub of terrorism. According to him, no businessperson or ordinary citizen was safe from the Osman family's control. He specifically accused Shamim Osman, his son Ayon Osman, and his nephew Azmeri Osman of leading a terror squad that oppressed people. Additionally, he alleged that Shah Nizam, a leader of the Awami League in Narayanganj, harassed and persecuted people in various ways.

Munna demanded that law enforcement agencies arrest these alleged criminals immediately. He also accused Shamim Osman of opening fire on students during a student movement. He questioned how these criminals managed to escape from Bangladesh, calling it a "mystery." He urged the authorities to track down and arrest all such criminals hiding in different locations. He asserted that if BNP comes to power, no one will be able to engage in terrorist activities.

Regarding the murder of Tanvir Muhammad Taqi, a brilliant student from Narayanganj, Munna stated that justice has not yet been served. He alleged that members of the Osman family were involved in the murder and called on the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to complete the investigation promptly and take action against the culprits.

Additionally, he demanded justice for the killing of Metropolitan Jubo Dal activist Sojan, who was shot by Chhatra League members during an anti-discrimination protest on August 5, and for the murder of district Jubo Dal activist Shaon. He urged law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation and legal action against the perpetrators.

Munna further stated that BNP's Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman, is actively working for the welfare of the people and maintaining communication with victims of various incidents. He assured that if BNP comes to power and Tarique Rahman becomes the Prime Minister, law and order will be strictly maintained, and no criminal or wrongdoer will be spared.

The event was presided over by Narayanganj Metropolitan Jubo Dal Convenor Monirul Islam Sajal and conducted by its Member Secretary Sahed Ahmed. Other notable attendees included Narayanganj Metropolitan BNP Member Secretary Advocate Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu, Dhaka Metropolitan South Jubo Dal Member Secretary Robiul Islam Nayan, Narayanganj District Jubo Dal Convenor Sadekur Rahman Sadek, Senior Joint Convenor Khairul Islam Sajib, and Member Secretary Mashiur Rahman Rony.
