BIJC starts its journey with aim of financial development, professional security, protection of journalists

The Bangladesh Independent Journalists Council (BIJC) has officially started its journey recently with the aim of ensuring financial development, professional security, protection of rights and establishing dignity of the country's journalists.
The organization's main objective is "A Commitment to Truth, Independence, Justice, and Professional Dignity." According to the founders, the organization's main goal is to build a strong, independent, and unified platform for professional journalists at all levels of the country.
Jobayer Noble, senior journalist, News 24, is serving as the president of the organization. Saiduzzaman Selim, Chief Reporter, Time Bangla News, is serving as the general secretary.
The leaders said that the BIJC will play an active role in enhancing the skills of journalists, providing legal assistance, welfare activities, training and establishing professional rights. At the same time, journalists from all over the country have been called upon to become members of this organization and work unitedly.
The organization's head office is located at UTC Building in Panthapath, Dhaka.
