Beating of Ansar commander protested, human chain in Madan

Upazila Ansar Company Commander of Netrakona Madan, Md. Shamchul Islam, was severely beaten with boots and sticks by members of 26 Battalion at the office of Upazila Ansar and VDP on May 28 at the orders of District Commandant Golam MauolaTuhin.
Ansar and VDP members of the upazila held an hour-long human chain program in front of the Madan Press Club on Sunday in protest and demanding justice.
At that time, the victim Upazila Ansar Company Commander Shamchul Islam said that I was inhumanely tortured because I lodged a complaint with the Director General protesting the irregularities, bribery and corruption of Rimi Ferddousi, an officer of the Upazila Ansar VDP. I was admitted to Madan Hospital for four days due to torture.
Even in the Upazila Parishad elections, hundreds of trained Ansar and Village Defense Force members, including me, have been given responsibility in exchange of bribes to members of other upazilas.Among them, school students, including non-members of Ansar VDP, also performed electoral duties.
I was physically abused because I protested by speaking the truth. Which, if investigated in a fair and impartial manner, the real facts will come across.At this time, trained Ansar VDP members Musa Mia, Manna and Kalam Mia.
In this regard, Netrakona District Commandant Golam Mauola Tuhin said on mobile phone that there is a departmental complaint against Ansar commander Shamshul Islam.He was removed from the office premises when he created chaos during the distribution of election duties.He was not beaten.
