
Army raids UPDF hideout in Panchari, equipment recovered

Army has conducted a raid on the secret hideout of the UPDF (United People's Democratic Front) in Panchhari, Khagrachari.
The raid was conducted in the deep jungle of Juboneshwar Para area of the upazila early on Monday.
During the search, a pistol, a magazine, two rounds of bullets, 15 banners, two walkie-talkie chargers, two mobile phones, sharp weapons and various equipment were recovered from the hideout.
According to army sources, based on intelligence information, a special team of the army conducted a raid in the deep jungle of Juboneshwar Para area. Sensing the presence of the security forces, the armed members of the UPDF fled. No one could be arrested from the scene. Various equipment used by them was recovered from the hideout.
Bangladesh Army is ready to take any necessary steps to ensure the security of the people of the hilly areas and protect the sovereignty of the country.
