Tin, cash provided to traders affected by fire in Kalapara

Five traders affected by the fire at Mombipara Notun Bazar in Latachapoli Union of Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali have been given a bundle of corrugated tin and Tk 3,000 each in cash. In addition, each trader affected has been provided with food assistance including rice, pulses and oil.
Kalapara UNO Md. Kausar Hamid provided all these government assistance to the affected traders on Sunday afternoon. Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Mokchedul Alam, CPP Assistant Director Md. Asaduzzaman Khan, Cooperative Officer Abbasuddin, and Latachapoli Union Chairman (Acting) Mizanur Rahman were present at the time.
It is mentioned that a fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning due to an electrical short circuit at the Notunpara Bazaar in Mombipara, destroying the shops and belongings of shopkeepers Habibur Rahman, Al-Amin, Bachchu Mia, Md. Mizan and Abdur Razzak.
