Anti-drug rally, gathering held in Rajashthali

As part of the implementation of the current government's "zero tolerance" policy against drugs, an anti-drug rally and gathering was held at the initiative of Chandraghona Police Station in Rajasthali Upazila of Rangamati.
On Wednesday, a rally started from in front of Bangalhalia High School in Rajasthali Upazila, Rangamati, and marched through various streets of the market before meeting at a gathering in front of the passenger shelter.
Chandraghona Police Station OC M Shaker Ahmed presided over the program organized in front of the passenger shelter. UNO Yusuf Hasan was present as the chief guest at the program.
Among others, Upazila BNP President Master Khalilur Rahman Sheikh, Senior Joint Secretary Emdadul Haque Milon, Joint Publicity Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman Prince, Hindu Buddhist Christian Welfare Front Central Committee Member Jiku Kumar Dey, Upazila Krishak Dal General Secretary Md. Sumon Khan, Bangalhalia Union BNP President Siddique Mollah and General Secretary Mohammad Ayub Chowdhury, along with leaders of BNP and its affiliate organizations were also present at the rally. Also present were Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Rajasthali Upazila Branch President Maulana Abu Huraira, Bangalhalia Bazar Management Committee President Mohammad Jahangir Alam, local media workers, prominent figures of the area, teachers and students of Bangalhalia College and Bangalhalia High School, and teachers and students of Shafipur Madrasa.
The speakers said that in order to create a drug-free society in this area, people from all walks of life, along with law enforcement agencies, must come forward. Families and educational institutions must play a leading role in protecting the youth and the youth from drugs.
