4 drug dealers arrested in Adamdighi

Four drug dealers were arrested in Bogura under Adamdighi upazila while transporting 31 kg of Ganja (cannabis) in a pickup. Meanwhile, police seized a white color pickup used for transporting drugs.
The dealers were arrested and cannabis was recovered by setting up a check post in Santahar East Dhaka Road area of Adamdighi on the Naogaon-Bogura regional highway on Thursday noon.
The arrested are- Yakub Miah (22) son of Yunus Miah of Rasulpur village of Deviddwar upazila of Comilla, Masud Rana (28) son of deceased Nasu Miah of Shashidal Paschim Para village of Brahmanpara in the same district, Ainul Islam (35) son of Rezaul Islam of Bhaktakole village of Badalgachi upazila of Naogaon and Sumon Hossain (30) son of Belal Hossain of Magura village of Naogaon Sadar upazila.
Police said that a raid was conducted on the basis of secret information that four drug dealers were carrying ganja in a pickup truck from Bogura towards Naogaon. Later, the police recovered 31 kg of cannabis wrapped in 15 balls in a white bag behind the seat of the pickup.
SM Mostafizur Rahman, OC of Adamdighi Police Station said that a case was filed under the Narcotics Act against the arrested persons and they were sent to the court in the afternoon. Meanwhile, an unregistered white pick-up used for transporting cannabis (ganja) has been seized.
