The great Victory Day -2024 was celebrated in Netrokona with due dignity through various programs. On the occasion of the day, 31 cannons were fired at the Collectorate premises at sunrise in the first hour of the day, later the district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Banani Biswas, and the police administration led by Superintendent of Police Mirza Sayem Mahmud laid wreaths at the memorial of the martyred freedom fighters. In addition, the district BNP, including its organs and associate organizations, various political parties, social, cultural organizations, educational institutions, and people from various professions, paid tribute to the martyred freedom fighters by laying wreaths at the memorial of the martyred freedom fighters, led by the convener of Netrokona District BNP, eminent orthopedic physician Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque and Member Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam Hilali.

At 8 am, the district administration organized a reception at Muktarpara ground premises, where Deputy Commissioner Banani Biswas, with the participation of police, Ansar VDP and BNCC, raised the flag, released pigeons and balloons, symbols of peace, and gave a brief speech highlighting the significance of Victory Day.

The Collectorate inaugurated the day-long Victory Fair in memory of the martyred freedom fighters on the occasion of Victory Day at the ground premises. Later, a reception was organized in honor of the brave freedom fighters at the Netrokona Public Hall auditorium. Superintendent of Police Mirza Sayem Mahmud, District BNP Convener Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque, Member Secretary Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Hilali, former president of Netrokona District BNP, freedom fighter Ashraf Uddin Khan, freedom fighter Haider Jahan Chowdhury, district BNP senior joint convener Advocate Mahfuzul Haque, joint convener Tajezul Islam Faras Sujat, joint convener SM Moniruzzaman Dudu and others.
