Tribute paid. mourning rallies in Barguna marking martyrdom anniv of Bangabandhu

Tribute was paid and mourning rallies were held in Barguna to observe National Mourning Day and the martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
On Saturday morning, on behalf of District Awami League Joint General Secretary and former Member of Parliament Golam Sarwar Tuku, Chhatra Dal leader Khairul Islam Fahad placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in Barguna town. During the tribute, prayers were offered for the salvation of the souls of Bangabandhu and all family members who attained martyrdom on August 15.
Meanwhile, a mourning rally was organized in the district, led by former Chhatra League member Fahad Hasan Tanim and District Chhatra League Vice-President Sobuj Mollah. Leaders and activists from various tiers of the organization participated in the rally, which paraded through several major thoroughfares of the town.
Earlier in the morning, leaders also paid tribute to a symbolic portrait of Bangabandhu in front of the Barguna Awami League office under the leadership of local Chhatra League president Reza.
Participants in the rallies remembered the martyrs of August 15 and expressed their commitment to working for the welfare of the country and the nation by embracing Bangabandhu's ideals and the spirit of the Liberation War.
